Brazil as Paradigm: New Economy, New Government, and New Culture

Political Unrest in Brazil

That neither politics nor the economy is working well in our modern world hardly needs be proved: there is plenty of evidence for it. In this article, I would like to offer BRAZIL as a paradigm of how three kinds of solutions can be applied to make the world better. I do this from the “Back-to-the-Body” Perspective, which I have been discussing in the Blog since the December Solstice of 2012. First, I will break down the solution for Brazil in three areas. Next, I will describe who the great saviors of the world are. Finally, I will present Brazil as a PARADIGM for the world.

The body is the Paradigm

The body is the Paradigm

Information about the “Back-to-the-Body” Perspective can be found in the Website PauloJuarezPereira.com. Articles are written in three languages: English, Spanish, and German. Brazilians are quite capable of reading in Spanish—whereas the same is not true the other way around. Spanish speakers may not necessarily know how to read Brazilian Portuguese. Thus, by writing in Spanish, I have articles that can be read by everyone in Latin America.

There are three groups of people in the world today that can make this transformation happen. They offer us three kinds of solutions, which can bring about a world transformation. In fact, this transformation will not happen without their input and cooperation.

Rabbi Schneerson

Rabbi Schneerson

The first group comprises the followers of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Rabbi Schneerson is the last Lubavitcher Rebbe and the most influential Jewish leader of our time. TheRabbi Schneerson lived practically through the entire 20th Century (1902-1994). He was precisely 40 years old when Hitler’s Wannsee Conference took place in Berlin (1942). At that Conference, the Nazzi Germans decided to implement the Endlösung der Judenfrage (“Final Solution to the Jewish Question”). As a result, Jews were exterminated in Eastern Europe—either by being killed or through voluntary and involuntary emigration.

Under Rabbi Schneerson’s leadership, the Jews were able to rediscover their soul and find hope and strength to move on after the Holocaust. Rabbi Schneerson came to the United States in 1941 and started his work educating and inspiring Jews. His message to the Jews was that they were to become agents of transformation for their communities and for the world.

In terms of the Back-to-the-Body Perspective, those who follow Rabbi Schneerson represent the highest standard of Judaism. The Jewish faith is responsible for the restoration of the “stomach” (click here for more information about the metonymies “stomach,” “brain,” and “heart”). Through the Jews as transformed by Rabbi Schneerson, it is possible to instill in the world a spirit of service and care for communities, which is the foundation for a prosperous economy.

Rev. Moon's Movement

Rev. Moon’s Movement

The second group of individuals are the followers of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon. Working with Christians, Rev. Moon created a body of doctrine that can bring Christians into unity. Rev. Moon’s most important teaching is the importance of the restoration of Cain and Abel. In the Back-to-the-Body Perspective, “Cain and Abel” represent the two sides of the human brain, namely, the left hemisphere and the right hemisphere. The followers of Rev. Moon are encouraged to spread themselves around the world and assume leadership by connecting the two sides of Cain and Abel. In politics, “Cain” represents the Left Wing; and “Abel” represents the Right Wing. Rev. Moon spent his entire life educating his followers about true leadership, which means dedication and service. This brings about the unification of Christianity and the restoration of the brain, or government.

Bahai_shrineThe third group of people is made up of the followers of the The Bahá’í Faith. These individuals have the highest level of spirituality that the world has ever seen. They believe that all religions are one and all humans are one. The members of the Bahá’í Faith believe that all humans are equal, and all races and cultures are worthy. The Bahá’í Faith focuses on the restoration of the HEART. Through the Bahá’í Faith it is possible to establish a new culture in the world with just and equality for all.

Thus, we have three groups of people in the world that can help us restore the three areas of spirituality, as follows:

Rabbi Schneerson                      Rev. Moon                    Bahá’í Faith
Stomach                                       Brain                              Heart
Economy                                      Government                 Culture
Communities                               Political System           Justice
Soul                                               Mind                              Heart

As I look at the situation in Brazil, I see three problems: first, the struggle between Cain and Abel continues, namely, the struggle between the Left Wing and the Right Wing in government. Second, the communities are filled with unrest. And third, there is a cultural divide.

Here are the problems of Brazil:

Community Unrest                   Struggle between Left and Right               Cultural Clashes

Stomach (the people)                Brain (Cain and Abel)                                  Heart

Economic Problems                    Political Impasse                                         Cultural Clashes

There are three groups in the world that can contribute much for the solution of Brazil’s problems. These are the followers of Rabbi Schneerson, who can show the way to build communities of service; the followers of Rev. Moon, who can show the way to create a unity between Cain and Abel and construct a good government; and the followers of the Bahá’i Faith, who can show the way to create a good system of justice and a culture centered on diversity, harmony, and equality.

We Need All Three

The difficulty with these three groups is that EACH GROUP believes that it, alone, can solve all the problems of the world. They should, however, be realistic and assess the situation based on facts. The facts show that they are better off collaborating among themselves rather than trying to solve all the problems individually.

That is why I have introduced the Back-to-the-Body Perspective, in order to show that each of these three groups have a piece of the puzzle but not the entire puzzle. The followers of Rabbi Schneerson represent the best fruits of Judaism. They can teach us how to build strong communities and a prosperous economy. The followers of Rev. Moon represent the best fruits of Christianity. They can teach us how to bring about the unity of Cain and Abel (Left and Right) and how to build a successful government. The followers of the Bahá’i Faith represent the best fruits of Islam. They can teach us how to value each race and each culture, and how to create a world of justice and equality. But none of the three, alone, will be able to solve the problems of the world. Together, yes, they can.

I conclude with a quote:

Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well-wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution never to violate in the least particular the laws of the country, and never to tolerate their violation by others.
